Three arrested, gun seized after shots fired in Dudley Square

Boston Police report arresting three men they say tried speeding away from a gunfire scene on Degautier Way without their headlights on around 2:20 a.m.

Police say officers responding to a report of gunfire at 10 Degautier way couldn't help but notice a car with no headlights on and racing away from the scene:

Officers conducted a traffic stop for the infractions. While speaking with the operator, who was immediately confrontational with officers, officers observed the front passenger to be bleeding from an injury on his hand. The front passenger stated he fell while running away from the gunshots being fired. Officers spoke to the rear passenger, who was nearly out of breath, and made the determination to remove the occupants based off of the occupants’ actions and the nearby call for shots fired.

With the assistance of a BPD K-9, officers recovered a Glock 19, semi-automatic firearm, in the full lock back position, within the spare tire compartment of the vehicle’s trunk. All occupants were taken into custody. While attempting to place the rear passenger into the cruiser, he became instantly combative and attempted to flee from officers. The rear passenger was eventually placed into the cruiser after a brief, but violent struggle.

Kaivon Blake, 22, of Dorchester, Shan Tahatdil, 29, of Dorchester, and Keeshon Wilson, 28, of Brighton were charged with carrying a loaded firearm and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, police say. Blake, who was driving, was cited for operating without headlights on - and was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, second offense. Wilson was also charged with a second firearms offense, as well as resisting arrest. Tahatdil was charged with carrying unlawful possession of a firearm with a prior violent crime or drug conviction, police say.

Innocent, etc.
