Editor's note: Post updated to reflect fact victim was stabbed, not shot, and that the stabbing happened on the street.

Boston Police report a man was stabbed repeatedly on Washington Street near Columbus Avenue, around 8:25 p.m.

According to police, two men came up to the victim and stabbed him. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries after getting himself into Egleston Pizza to seek help.

The man was not shot. He was stabbed multiple times

This is inaccurate and should be corrected. The victim was stabbed on the sidewalk and then ran into Egleston Pizza. Leaving this up reflects poorly on this pub and it’s also a disservice to small local businesses who take the hit when there’s public perception that it’s dangerous to be in there. Check the BPD reports.
