Pink Taco could open soon in Seaport

Pink Taco sign is up on Congress Street

Cynthia Donovan reports: A Pink Taco sign is finally up outside its planned location at Congress Street and Boston Wharf Road.

No word if somebody's planning on opening an adjoining seafood shack called the Bearded Clam or a hot-dog stand called Sausagefest.

Man, that's pretty rank.

But I just came from a week long sausage fest.

Bar Taco (another chain) is just around the corner - has great tacos - and (as far as I know) is not named after a euphemism for genitalia.

Not for horny frat boys, I suppose.

They go across the street to the Cock in Cider.

this kind of degenerate filth. I expect erudite commentary with a healthy dash of philosophical flourish. Anything less and I will stop sending in my monthly grant checks.

I expect a higher class of degenerate filth entirely.

Had/have Big Pecker's, Bearded Clam, BJ's on the Water, and Brass Balls. All "great" places for the basic Chad McPopmycollar's and other prep school chodes.

This brand looks to be catering to that same demo. I just never thought I'd see that cheeseball Hampton Beach aesthetic in Fort Point but here we are.

a/k/a Little Houston. Up until now, Boston had nothing as juvenile, as crudely nudge-nudge-haw-haw as Crabby Dick's (a Delaware seafood shack), Phat Phuc Noodle Bar (a London Vietnamese restaurant which I'm certain was not named to honor its literal translation, “Happy Buddha”), or The Money Shot (a Chicago comfort food joint).

Don't associate Fort Point with this excrescence: it's on the wrong side of Boston Wharf Road. Meanwhile, stay classy, Seaport. Don't expect me to cry when the Harbor rises and swallows you up, you crass, chain-laden piece of shit.

I've been calling it that for a while. All they need is some fake Europe and slot machines.

While I would love to say that this location isn't part of Fort Point, it is. It's on the northwest side of Boston Wharf Road amid the buildings that make up Fort Point. It's just across the street from Fort Point Market.

separate in my mind (and so very much do the Fort Point restaurants and bars), but this looks like Seaport awfulness creeping over the line.

...but I love the retro look of the sign.

You want to appeal to douchebro fratboys, that location ain't it.

I've been to their other location at the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino in Vegas. Fairly average Tex/Mex food. Sunset Cantina comes to mind.
