Bacon, bacon, bacon and more coming to Dedham

Boston Restaurant Talk reports some "bacon masters" plan to take over the recently closed Roadworthy space on Washington Street in Dedham, near the mall. Unlike Roadworthy, Small Batch Cafe will concentrate on breakfast and lunch, so presumably the bacon expertise will come in handy.

I prefer my eggs cooked to order and not in small batches. Nothing worse than a precooked fried egg sitting in a small batch of other precooked fried eggs begging to be picked from the batch and flung onto plate of Order No. 3 over at Table 6. Same thing with my toast. I like it fresh from the toaster with the butter still melting on it. I'm sure I'm not alone. Call me old fashioned, but TFB.

I assure you that we cook all of our eggs to order. Not sure how you could comment about us before we were open. Please come in and try what we offer before placing judgement.

Bad for your health, bad for the pig’s health and bad for the environment. We really need more factory farms polluting rivers and the ocean.
Not only that, the stuff stinks. And they load it up with sugar. Doesn’t even taste like bacon.

Hi Lee, I appreciate your comment but our pigs are all farm raised in humane conditions. They are antibiotic free and we cure them ourselves. Just curious if you've actually ever tried our bacon?

You are better off eating bacon than a lot of other stuff out there.

Their bacon is really good - they used to sell it at local Boston FM's before they turned their attention to the cafe.
