Allston music studios to move to Harvard Avenue

The Zoning Board of Appeal today approved plans for Studio 52 to move its existing recording space at 52 Everett St. to what is now a self-storage building at 138 Harvard Ave.

The main issue to come up was soundproofing. Studio 52 said its new home was already basically sound-absorbing because of its masonry construction, but that it would add additional soundproofing if needed, both for nearby residents and to isolate the musicians inside from each other.

Nobody spoke against the proposal.

...a rehearsal space complex than a full-fledged recording studio.

that is just the kind of ground-level industry you can kiss goodbye if you turn the whole town into high-rise square glass bullshit.

Forgive me if it's been covered here already, I must've missed it if so.

I'll give you one guess... it begins with Luxury and ends with Condos.

I searched here and found the article about the adjacent Stop and Shop complex, but Studio 52 is not part of that project.

I'm not doubting you at all, just wondering if there have been any official announcements about it.
