Trump administration says kids getting care for potentially fatal diseases won't be kicked out ot the country after all, but ...

There's always a but. The New York Times reports the government has reversed its decision that immigrant kids receiving advanced medical care in the US - including at least 20 in Boston - had 30 days to leave the country and die. But at the same time, it's considering not granting such medical waivers to new cases.

The article says they won't kick them out right away, but won't guarantee they'll get the extensions that until now have been routinely granted.

Leaving the kids already here alone is just a sop.

The NY Times article only refers to 'immigrants' without mentioning anything about immigration status (illegal, undocumented, etc.) which is a critical part of the story.

The medical implications of deporting them are the critical part of the story.
