For second time in two weeks, somebody was hanging out at Roxbury school playground with a loaded gun, police say

Boston Police report officers looking for a guy wanted for a Sunday armed robbery on Humboldt Avenue and Waumbeck Street found him at the Trotter School playground across the street around 5:25 p.m. yesterday.

As officers entered the playground, the suspect quickly fled the scene and a foot chase ensued down Waumbeck Street towards Harold Street. While continuing their pursuit, the officers observed the suspect reach into his waist area and throw an object into a driveway on Harold Street. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect at which time they recovered the discarded object which was determined to be a .380 caliber Taurus TCP ACP handgun with 1 round in the chamber and 6 rounds in the magazine.

Tyrese Sealy, 18, of Roxbury, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawfully carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and trespassing, police say.

On Sept. 28, police arrested a 14-year-old they say had brought a loaded gun to the Trotter School playground.

Innocent, etc.

Thank you, BPD. We don't need any school shootings.

These arrests are a great job by BPD but have nothing to do with the school or school shootings. The school was closed during both arrests. It is a neighborhood issue.

Lots of our school are located by parks and a lot of losers hangout at parks and conduct their illegal activities.
