Because their Boston march went so well

Dallas Voice reports a couple of alleged Bostonians organized a "straight pride" rally there:

Straight Pride attracts a crowd of 2.

Tried a couple of times. Too bad. I even had my popcorn ready. :/

My favorite: "This is the gayest thing I've seen all day.".

More or less than $600K?

Thank the counter protestors who can't just let a bunch of cyber losers quietly and pathetically "march" through the city. Thousands of people showing up to "confront" less than a dozen people requires crowd control. The city would have no problem finding another way to waste tax payer money but this was a quick gimme.

...and march against your human rights, feel free to lick boot and proclaim how much you like the taste. It'll be your choice, then. Meanwhile, privileged person, do not, DO NOT tell people being attacked how to defend themselves.

These people aren't in any position to harm anyone. Their words are not gaining traction. You're being hyperbolic.

Upwards of 3 participants countered by a few dozen counter protesters. Considering the city was charging them $12,000, the city might have made money off the event.

Kudos to the people of Dallas for ignoring these idiots.

The City of Boston rolled out the red carpet for these homophobic fascists. They handed the cops a blank check for all the overtime they wanted. The cops, in turn, committed documented acts of violence against peaceful protesters.

It's very easy to say "aaah ignore 'em and they'll go away" when you're not the one being attacked. If that's you, maybe silence is more appropriate than commentary.

the aggressors to split the tab and foot the bill for this? Or how about just going somewhere else to figure it out. Less than 20 people versus a gathering of thousands is an imbecilic spectacle, not a fight against fascist power.

That's a good one.

Thanks, I needed the chuckle.

But if you get a chance, ask the people at the Charlottesville PD whether or not it's prudent to have a show of force when large numbers of protestors decide to express their opinions "peacefully."

Were the two belligerent sides separated, the story would have been about the protests, not the violence and unfortunate fatality. Conversely, Boston made efforts to keep the sides apart. In Dallas, a couple of cops on bicycles could have kept order, because the greater Dallas area saw this for what is was- an excuse for people to get out of their parents' basements for the afternoon.

Boston cops attacked counterdemonstrators who were doing nothing but standing there. This is documented. STOP LYING.

Counter demonstrators throwing urine at both the police and the silly parade people.

But yeah, the antifa are peaceful people. Whatever gets you through the day.

What in the fuck are you on about? Even if that were true, it'd be preferable to neofascist MAGA-chuddery.

That's typical of you, Sea Lion Waquoit, smugging it up on the sidelines and playing your usual act of above it all and beside the point. Read and learn and in the future, when (as usual) you don't know what you're talking about, rather than show your ass AGAIN as an apologist for the worst in our society, just shut the hell up.

One of the two Boston participants claimed he was kicked out of his home as a teen and was fired from his job because he was straight.

Big ol' citation needed here.

They had a lot more marchers at the Boston parade than the Dallas one. Now that’s embarrassing for us

Embarrassing for the city that granted the permit.

Embarrassing that a government respects freedom of assembly? That they haven't come up with a clever way to get around the Constitution by establishing ridiculous permit fees like Dallas did?
