Police say they've nabbed the guy who broke into cars belonging to two Children's Hospital nurses

Boston Police report arresting a Hyde Park man on charges he smashed his way into two nurses' cars at the Children's Hospital garage earlier this month.

Tomongo Bey, 53, already facing charges in Middlesex County of smashing his way into four cars, was arrested at his home today on charges of felony breaking and entering of a vehicle in the daytime and vandalism, police say.

Police say that sometime on April 11, Bey broke into two cars on the garage's fourth floor. One nurse reported "the front driver’s side window had been smashed and the door panel had been damaged as well," and that a wallet containing gift cards and her insurance car had been taken. The other reported " the front passenger’s window had been smashed and her car had been damaged extensively" and that missing was her purse, which contained sunglasses, Apple AirPods and her checkbook.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office asked for bail of $7,000; reports that Roxbury Municipal Court Judge David Weingarten released him on personal recognizance. However, he won't be going home; he was ordered held without bail on the Middlesex County charges.

Bey also faced motor-vehicle break-in charges in 2009.

The perp's 53, and despite his age, he obviously doesn't care about the fact that he's preying on those who are most needed in society today.

From the BPD page, the nurse was parked at the garage for almost 12 hours straight, from 8am to 8pm. The last thing that medical workers need is more stress and instability. Good thing that the perp is locked up, at least for the time being.

Great job by BPD but this guy has a long history (https://www.bostonherald.com/2010/08/18/wanted-mbtas-dirty-dozen/) of doing the same breaking and entering act, would love to see him go away for a little longer this time.
