Social distancing and shutting everything down could have waited. Wearing masks, special attention to people institutionalized settings, especially the elderly, people in ill-health and weakened immune systems all should have been first top priority and authorities and institutions responsible for public health snd health care should have been well prepared. It was not due to lack of funding.

We’ve known for months that the people at high risk were the elderly and immunocompromised. We should have focused our money and energy on them first.

He appears to be trying to take care of our most vulnerable and isolated citizens.
Apparently in New York they have been transporting C-19 positive patients to nursing homes.

Ya, its the NY Post, but the story is real and a damn train wreck.
"The real investigation should be into why Zucker insisted on sending coronavirus-positive patients to nursing homes, when it’s been clear from the start that the elderly are most at risk from the virus."

"The Post reports that a Brooklyn nursing home that’s seen New York’s greatest number of COVID-related deaths (55, on the latest list) wrote the state Health Department on April 8 to plead for help."

The worst cases are the ones with dementia, they cannot understand to a certain extent just what the hell is going on.

Didn't the Governor by executive order sign a bill restricting law suits against nursing homes ?Hopefully the Attorney General will investigate how nursing home owners performed during this crisis.
