Police say couple did some followup looting this morning at South End clothing store that was looted on Sunday

Boston Police report arresting a local man and a Wilmington woman on charges they used a rock to smash open a window at Laced, 426 Massachusetts Ave. which they then entered aand did a bit of personal looting in the store, which had been more massively looted this past Sunday night.

According to police, John Precourt, 43, of Boston, threw a rock into the store's window early this morning. He and Alelia Whalen, 30, of Wilmington, then entered and stole some items that caught their eyes - and grabbed money out of the register.

Police say the two didn't get too far, however. Around 1:45 a.m., even after taking time to view surveillance video at the store, they found Precourt less than half a block away, by the Southwest Corridor Park and holding a purple jacket - which officers returned to the stores owner.

Not long after, police say, they found Whalen in Chester Park, about a block and a half away from the store in the other direction, holding a blue and black backpack and a black coat, which also belonged to the store. She was arrested and the items also returned to the store, police say.

Both were charged with felony breaking and entering of a building in the nighttime and larceny of a building, polie say, adding Precourt was also charged with malicious destruction of property. Whalen was also charged with possession of Class A, C and E drugs after officers found various drugs on him, police say.

Innocent, etc.

We know police lie, we have tons of examples from the past week along. These people haven't been convicted of a crime. Please stop mindlessly repeating BPD press releases.

...that did a similar job in Malden the other night. Malden PD's FB page posts a video of them in action. Or maybe it's just a new couple's activity. ("Honey, I want new things and everything's closed." "Okay, okay, I'll take you out and we can pick up something nice.")
