At 77 Maple St., near Schuyler Street, around 11:20 p.m. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

Is it this summer or just every summer? Pretty sure its every summer this happens.
I'd defer to Adam on historical trends
But it's been a violent July - 10 dead. 22 murdered since the beginning of May.

Historically Boston averages about 1 shooting per day during the summer. (Memorial Day - Labor Day). This means we typically have about 80-100 shootings per Summer. We are definitely on pace to have more than that.
