Legal Seafood in Park Square shuts down

Boston Restaurant Talk reports the chain saw no pandemic point in re-opening a restaurant with no patio space and with the collapse of business from nearby hotels and a lease running out in a few months in a building whose owner wants to redevelop the space.

I've eaten there. It was nice. Are they still in the Prudential? Is it still called Prudential?

The only Legal Seafood in Copley Square is at the Copley Place Mall. The Prudential location was closed due to the construction of Mandarin Oriental hotel.

My first visit to a Legal's maybe in the 80s was at Park Square, but I could absolutely swear that it was not at its current outgoing location but in the same block as the Park Plaza Hotel. Anybody remember that?

And at the approximate location where the outgoing Legal's is used to be an arcade game room. I specifically remember playing pinball there. Or I am completely bonkers.

References from the time do say the restaurant opened "at" the Park Plaza Hotel, but I can't find any references to it moving from anywhere to its current (now closed) location.

Legal Seafood Restaurant. was at the Park Plaza Hotel for 20 years. Then moved down the street into a new building by 2001.. The teddy bear arcade was located across the street in the City Parking Garage in Park Square.
