WCVB reports the death of K.C. Jones, the Hall of Fame Celtics player and coach. He was 88.

Those Celtics teams back when I was growing up were awesome. 1986 championship most especially!

I'll never forget when my father was helping me move my stuff in my school dorm back in the 80s when all of a sudden he was in awe to see KC Jones doing the same thing for his daughter. Being a huge fan that was too much excitement for one day.

To Coach Jones family, there are certainly no words that I can express that could satisfy how deeply I believe that you miss The Coach.
I offer you my deepest sympathies and prayers to you.

Coach. As a Celtics fan and I was pretty young when you were making your stance here in Boston and especially in Boston Garden, I thank you for all the great memories and the championships.

I always admire , what it appears to be a very cool collective controlled demeanor. I was impressed by how "proper" you were it was an inspiration. Your were the best.

You are definitely one of the greatest.

Thank you for everything you did as of Boston Celtics, A Leader and a generous human being.

I look forward to when the city of Boston dedicates a statue in your name. Or something.
