No, Boston Man did not swallow earbud while sleeping

The Bangor "But I Hardly Know Her" Daily News ran this headline yesterday: Boston man swallows earbud while sleeping.

As the second sentence of the story states, dude's from Worcester. That'd be like us writing "Bangor man can't read maps" about some guy from Portland.

I don't know how something can fall out of your ear and into your mouth. If that were possible, we'd hear all the time about people swallowing their (non-pierced) earrings.

...actualy just statistical error. average person eats 0 ear buds per year. Ear Buds Brad, who lives in Worcester & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.

You wake up in the middle of the night, think you found a peanut M&M in the bed, snack it down. I lost an SD card that way, thought it was a Pringles shard.

Has anyone worn (non-pierced) earrings since 1967?

And were they ever wearing them while sleeping?

Nothing to see here.

I remember back in the day there was a "Boston-area" band from Worcester, whose name I have forgotten, that was actually pretty good. Their best-known song was "Got To Get Out of Worcester".

Some quick searching suggests that was Roger Salloom, "America’s best unknown songwriter"

He might as well be from Des Moines, amirite?
