Dorchester man charged as serial ride-share carjacker

State Police report arresting a Dorchester man they say would have somebody order him up rides to a Massport parking lot on Summer Street in the Seaport, where he would then carjack the drivers.

State Police say Avonte Taylor, 18, kept up with the spree even after his 17-year-old alleged accomplice from Hyde Park was turned in by her mother.

State Police say they and Boston Police arrested Taylor at South Boston District Court yesterday after he turned himself in there.

Innocent, etc.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the mother of the young teenager for turning her son in.

I am sure your as a mom, your decision surrender your son was not in easy decision, however because of your Integrity, honesty, respect ; being well grounded and well founded, you did the right thing. Honestly, I wish more parents had the fortitude to do the same.

To the young man who was surrender by his parent. You should be hugging and loving your parent for saving your life. And teaching you the lesson of all.
