Young teen arrested after Annunciation Road gunfire; getaway driver also faces charges

Boston Police report arresting a 14-year-old after they say officers spotted him firing a gun around 9 p.m. on Wednesday at 58 Annunciation Rd. before he jumped into a car whose driver then fled onto Parker Street.

In addition to gun charges for that, the teen, too young to have his name released, was later also charged for the plastic bag of crack officers found on him during booking, police say.

While on Parker Street, officers observed the suspect vehicle and followed it onto Annunciation Road where they activated their lights and sirens to enable a traffic stop. As the vehicle slowed to a stop, the juvenile suspect exited and fled on foot into 58 Annunciation Road. The operator was detained while additional officers pursued the fleeing suspect. Officers were able to place the juvenile suspect in custody without incident while recovering a .32 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver which appeared to have been hastily placed on a window ledge.

Later, armed with a search warrant, officers returned to the location and found 101 rounds of .223 ammunition and "a Shockwave Technologies Blade Pistol Stabilizer."

Police say that when they stopped the car the teen jumped into, they discovered the driver, Josman Romero Delgado, 19, of East Boston, was wanted on a number of warrants out of juvenile court both downtown and in West Roxbury on charges that include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, aggravated assault and battery, breaking and entering and wanton destruction of property.

Police add that they are investigating whether the younger teen had anything to do with the gunfire reported on stairs leading up to 58 Annunciation Rd. last Friday.
