Stitching things in old Boston

The folks at the Boston City Archives report this photo comes from one Boston department's annual report. Can you place the scene?

Thanks for playing, folks! This photo was taken in 1950 for the BPS annual report. It shows Bostonians learning how to tailor in an evening vocational education class. The class was most likely taught at Girls Trade School which had evening sewing classes for both men and women. Boys Trade School and Brandeis Vocational School also had evening classes for adults, but didn't offer sewing classes - so process of elimination says this was Girls Trade.

Almost a whole day, and no "lining their own pockets" jokes? I'm impressed at the restraint.
