Police say teen unleashed gunfire barrage at South End development; pet ducks uninjured but TV hit

Boston Police report arresting a 17-year-old on charges he shot up some of the Ruth Barkley Apartments off Monsignor Reynolds Way on Saturday afternoon.

On arrival, officers found one of the buildings with fresh ballistic damage; when they went inside, they learned at least one bullet had entered an apartment and hit a resident's TV - but with no injuries. Officers found another building that looked like it had been hit as well:

Upon entering the building, officers met with an adult male who stated that he heard several shots fired and ran outside to grab his two pet ducks who were not injured during the incident. Officers observed ballistic damage to the window of the male’s apartment but he confirmed that the damage had been sustained during a prior incident.

D-4 officers and a SWAT team armed with an arrest warrant burst into the teen's South End apartment around 4:30 a.m. today and arrested him on charges of being delinquent for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, assault by means of a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and vandalism, police say. He was not named because of his age.

And he obtained the gun how? Judges should start making lists of how these guns are obtained in every case and use that to change the gun laws. Obviously the current laws aren't strong enough. Calling all levels of government and law makers. Hello?
