Teen arrested after bringing loaded gun to school in Dorchester, police say

Boston Police report arresting a 16-year-old they say brought a gun and drugs with him to the Community Academy of Science and Health, 11 Charles St. in Dorchester, this morning.

Police say officers responded to the school around 10:45 a.m. after school administrators found the student had a small bag containing a gun and what was believed to be marijuana.

The gun, police say, had been reported stolen in Braintree in 2019.

Police say the student will be charged as delinquent for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a high-capacity feeding device, possession of a loaded gun and possession of marijuana.

What is the role of a Safety Service Specialist in the Boston Public Schools? I heard the other day a large brawl broke out at JFK station the other day and several girls were maced while reporters were outside the station trying to figure out why the stairs at JFK were never repaired.

…the name of the school would suggest prestige but it’s literally an alternative school that they send expelled BPS kids. When I was in high school, going there was a Scarlett letter. Baron Center to Community Academy. I’m sure there were exceptions to the rule though
