Election denier thinks he can convince a majority of us to vote for him next year

No, not our old pal, the email daddy. WBUR reports that current Republican heir apparent and Trump-approved Geoff Diehl remains unsure that Joe Biden really won in 2020, although he is willing to accept it's time to move on.

MasGOP, making sure Democrats win next year.

I mean is this all they got...Geoff Diehl ?

I see Chang-Diaz and Healey licking their chops b/c this will be an easy win. Heck even Dianne Wilkerson thinks this will be an easy win, and she won't have to stuff her bra to do it.

Diehl used to be a Dem till he moved to MA
(orig Bethlehem PA)
Had supported Joe Biden and Tom Reilly in past.
Trump used to be a Dem too.
That Martha Coakley was a great opponent for Scott Brown, wasn't she?

But Liz made short work of Scotty Barncoat once he latched on to Rove's nethers.

Be honest here: one Coakley vs. Doug Plywood, Shiva, Herr Diehl, and a rotating cast of fulminating racists and seditionists.

One qualified and competent, if odious lackluster candidate versus a veritable rodeo of assclowns. Not even a contest.

He and his morons on the Route 18 corridor can only count to 21 if they are naked.

They are the epitome of guys driving $55,000 pick up trucks and have Pats season tickets who say "We're Losing It All".

I remain shocked that none of the arrested local insurrectionists were from Whitman. Although unlike 2016, in 2020 the town went 52%-46% Biden over Trump.

Whitman also historically has a comically corrupt and racist police force. Chief Jack Schnyer impregnated a 16-year-old girl. Dean Leavitt was walking civil rights violation and cost the town a couple hundred Gs. And there is plenty Google can tell you about Sgt. Glenn Pearson, but I don’t think the “true story” of Pearson’s Gym, steroids, the high school football team, and arson has yet to make it into print yet.

Oh, and for South Shore bar pizza aficionados, the popular Venus Cafe is a hive of racism and pro-MAGAism; don’t be surprised to see that as Diehl’s unofficial campaign headquarters.

Not that he'd get my vote, but he seems like Kevin O'Connor is the most Charlie Baker like candidate of the Mass GOP. He'd probably do better than in the senate race.

People sometimes forget that while Massachusetts is a dark blue state, the population isn't *that* progressive.

Yes, Diana Ploss, who wanders around civil-rights vigils yelling at people with young kids about what horrible parents they are, is running for governor as a Republican, along with Diehl and Ayyadurai.

On one hand it's kinda fun watching the wackos try to out crazy one another.

On the other hand, I thought the same thing when Trump announced his 2016 Presidential bid.

Yes, learning that one person's ignorant moron is another's incorruptible, breath of fresh air has been one of the more eye opening experiences of my entire life. Now anything can make me weary, regardless of how ridiculous or harmless it seems on the surface.

Dianna is running as an independent.

...a write-in?

I mean, maybe. But non-party candidates can get their names on the ballot by filing the proper nominating papers the same way a party candidate does.

10,000 signatures needed. Think she can do it?

Not as of now, but during the singular debate he did with Markey (Markey wouldn't agree to any more) there was a moment where he was asked about why he supports Trump despite disagreeing with him on everything and he fumbled it awfully. He's too much of a Trump fan

But people seem to forget that nominally supporting the president is what candidates of the same party do. He rightly figured he'd loose more support from republicans than he'd gain from democrats crossing party lines.

I can think of republicans who *wouldn't* have voted for him if he rejected Trump but I can't think of a single Democrat who would have voted for him instead of Markey even if he was adamantly opposed to Trump.

Geoff Diehl was the Trump campaign chairman for Mass. It wasn’t a “I will support whoever my party nominates” situation, Geoff was all in.

Granted, he didn't try to push back from Trump much but he also wasn't a foaming at the mouth supporter.

My point is, he might fit the bill for someone who wants a Baker clone. (I am not personally in that group.)
