Roslindale house catches fire

Boston firefighters responded to 2 Bateman St. at Jeffers Street for a second-floor fire that spread to the roof shortly before 9 p.m.

Residents escaped safely.

All five members got out OK, as did their two dogs. Their cat, however, remains missing.
