Where are y'all getting your Chinese food tonight?

I'm thinking about a great little dive in Watertown called "Home Taste." Or maybe I'll go all traditional and head down to Chinatown!

Tips are appreciated.

District Kitchen in Malden makes a really great variety of quality Chinese food.

They also own All Seasons Table which is where I'll be having Christmas dinner tomorrow.

Sadly, not an option that's available to me. But surely cannot be beat!

Formosa Taipei in Lexington; authentic Taiwanese deliciousness; particular winners: Taiwanese sausage, minced hot & spicy(!) chicken, lamb w/ onion and green scallion, and their vegetarian hot & sour soup. Great lo mein too.

Interesting suggestion!

I used to eat in Chinese restaurants in Lexington when I was coming up (circa 1980s-1990s), and those places definitely tended more toward the Americanized side. Yangzee River and Peking Garden: RIP (probably!).

I miss the Peking dumplings and Kung Pao delights at Yangzee River.

Don't get the Americanized food there. It is all about their seafood.

The seafood may be what they do best, but their classic Americanized dishes are fantastic too.

Hometaste is great, but as another person mentioned, District Kitchen is amazing.

Not excellent but ok. The last time I went there I bumped into my boss having dinner with a young lady. I later found out he was having an affair with her and everyone but me knew about it.
Merry Christmas!

in Newton. We ordered at 3:00 and reheated it at dinner time. No wait, no screwups on our order.

Their food is excellent, but beware of the cilantro in the wonton soup if you, like me, have that anti-cilantro gene...

Xi'an Rougamo in Belmont. Northern style cuisine, soup and spice heavy.

Home taste is pretty popular - the pulled noodles are supposed to be AMAZING. (We don’t order because limited veggie options and are huge Green Peapod fans)

Hand-pulled noodles with cumin (Xian style?) are my go-to at HT, and I can confirm that it will not disappoint!

For another wonderful take on the same theme, I recommend Chili Sq. in Quincy. Wonderful hand-pulled noodles in a mom-and-pop storefront.

I had my Chinese dinner on Christmas day. Did I break tradition? Anyway I got a number 14 from China Sea on Blue Hill Avenue. Pork Lo Mien, Boneless Spareribs and Fried Chicken Wings.

I’m late to the game. We went to Uncle Cheung’s. Limited menu that night — a lot to please the non-Chinese crowd, not necessarily to please my Chinese MIL, who was the only Chinese person there at the time.
