Middle-Eastern market in West Roxbury seeks license to sell Mediterranean beer and wine

The Boston Licensing Board could decide tomorrow whether to let Bay Sweets Market, 120 Spring St. in West Roxbury, use some of its shelf space for beer and wine.

At a hearing this morning, Bay Sweets's attorney, Kristen Scanlon, said Bay Sweets would focus on Mediterranean and European beer and wine to go along with its existing Middle Eastern food products.

Victor Leon, who also owns Foodies markets in the South End and South Boston, bought Bay Sweets in 2017.

They have good Middle Eastern food. Glad they got rid of all those water pipes that used to line the wall.

Just give it to them already. They have been there for ages and are part of the community!
