Kids about to get hopping in West Roxbury

Eggs and Easter Bunny at Millennium Park

Tim West was on scene for the Parkway in Motion Easter-egg hunt at the West Roxbury Education Complex field today, moments before scores of kids were unleashed on the 20,000 Easter eggs scattered there.

I will admit I am by no means an expert in many things Easter, but … hunt implies some level of searching and these are pretty much all right out there in the open!

The egg hunts I'm aware of in actual Roxbury do involve hiding the eggs and searching for them.

Turns out the Easter Bunny's oviparous reproduction strategy is closer to that of amphibians and fish than birds.

Here is some neighborhood people trying to do a good thing and you clowns who feel the need to comment can do nothing but crap all over it.

Obviously your mother didn’t tell you if you do not have anything nice to see, say nothing at all.

No one wants to hear from you loud mouth cry babies.

Well done WR. Obviously there are enough eggs for everyone to get their fair share. Even family egg hunts have rules, like a limit to make sure that no one gets greedy, and the littlest ones aren't knocked down and crying in the corner.

She said to me, "Don't settle for something well below your standards." And "If something doesn't look right, be suspicious, it may be dsngerous."

I didn't have something "nice to see" except that sweet autocorrect.

Besides, isn't Easter WEEKS away?
Easter is about death and rebirth.
Birth, as from space eggs landing on Earth.

Nanu nanu!

Fortunately many people do nice things, but often they are misguided, or their efforts are poorly executed.

If you have a public event, you are going to face criticism. And now they have learned something to apply to next year's event.
Either it was great fun for their unchallenged kids as set up, or that they can change it a little for next year..

Coddling is for eggs, mature adults don't need it for their feelings and kids don't need it to find eggs. This is a competitve race to fill a basket, not a way to make kids take a rare moment to use their observational skills, and for other than really young kids, how is this more fun than picking up their toys?

When life gives you sour lemons... eventually someone comes up with the lemonade idea after the "lemon hunt" distribution on astroturf idea turns out to be a disappointment.

Anyway, I prefer my delicious dark chocolate crucifix more than eggs. Wish I had a chocolate electric chair and gallows.

It's five days away. Now go play with Magoo.

Easter is the 24th, which is more than one week. Unless you celebrate heretic Easter.

Besides... it was a lame Easter Egg hunt well before Jesus was even mourned ritually on Good Friday (heretic edition) and which was celebrated for convenience only that children will recall in the future as lame.

A special day with deep meaning turned into a mediocre child's entertainment.

Dude, you might want to switch to decaf. You seem to be reading every innocuous comment in the most uncharitable and aggressive way possible.

Plastic eggs?

WWJD?

Jesus would not have recognized plastic eggs as one of his daddy's creations.
