Person dies on Red Line tracks at Park Street

Firefighters and EMS responded to Park Street station around 10:15 p.m. due to a person on the southbound tracks. He was quickly determined to be dead, and firefighters removed his body.

The MBTA turned off power to let firefighters and police investigators work, and said it was setting up shuttle-bus service between Park Street and Harvard.

WHDH reports the man died after coming into contact with the third rail.
