Thus, the police presence at South Station as I wandered in for my 4pm train….

I came out of Park St on Monday and there were SO MANY cops. 5 motorcycles parked outside the headhouse, others milling about. Even saw 2 in the bedding department at Macy's. INSIDE Macys. How did this person get away?

Are happening more often. People should be able to go in and out of public transit without getting shot. Sentencing for shooting a gun in public should be a 10 year minimum. Offenders often repeat the same crime when let out after a year or two.

1-2 years of prison doesn’t turn criminals into law-abiding citizens so the answer is… 5x more prison.

How many times has Adam posted an article about someone on existing charges being caught again for something new? Sometimes they have multiple(!) existing charges. And I’m not talking about petty things. I’m talking about illegal guns, attempted murder, etc. These people provide nothing to society aside from terrorizing society and they need to be punished.

Rough couple of months in Downtown Crossing.

I bet he didn't pay his fare while making his escape.

As I came out of Bowdoin station around 4 pm, I saw a #43 bus where it did not belong, waiting for a green light on Bowdoin Street at the intersection with Cambridge Street. I did not notice which way the bus went once the light changed (since I was getting on my bike to ride over the Longfellow Bridge). Could this have been in any way related?

/joke that isn’t funny

They are creating new routes (!!!!) in that bus schedule thingee they released a week or so ago.

But I was waiting for that no show bus on Tremont so thanks for the partial explanation.
The helicopters over the Common were loud. I thought they were news copters there because of all the memorial flags and thought how rude of them to spoil the experience of the people who came to see the flags.

for the police to get together and stand around and shoot the shit on a beautiful spring day. Did anyone get around to pursuing the assailant?

The photo was taken a fair amount of time after the actual shooting, that they are there mainly to guard the crime scene and that there was rather more action immediately after that.

Why are there so many first responders,LE etc standing around when things have already been contained!?Milling about, good weather or bad,for what?

Bold like Superstar action. The cojones on these folks. Absolutely Amazing. I never thought something like this would happen in Downtown Boston. Never.
