Sometimes a dumpster fire is more than just a metaphor

Flaming dumpster on Ipswich Street

Even if it is right across the street from Fenway Park (besides, haven't the Sox been playing well of late?). Roving UHub photographer Ksenia Dunn spotted this literal dumpster fire around 11 a.m. at 175 Ipswich St., across from Gate K and the Fenway employee entrance.

Nice symmetry of flames within the very large (30yd?) dumpster. No name or graffiti on the side, appropriately anonymous in front of an equally anonymous facade. And the flame color, perfect with a modest amount of toxic black smoke. 9.0 out of 10

Also, in the still photo, the two people in the background seem completely at ease with the whole thing, almost disinterested.

But it looks like an intentional firepit installation, albeit out of season.

Whoosh! (Note the building behind it.)

I instinctively clicked on the trash fire because I thought it was an MBTA service update.

My first reaction was, that's a very attractive dumpster fire, as dumpster fires go.
