Live Boston reports a man who pumped several bullets into another driver for rear-ending him last night on Westview Street in Dorchester's Franklin Field development was arrested less than two hours later after he showed back up in his hometown of Brockton, where State Police were looking for him .

Aquan Hudson, 24, was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. A judge in Dorchester Municipal Court ordered him held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Wednesday.

Live Boston reports Hudson has a history of gun and gun-related arrests. Also, the victim's trip to a trauma center was delayed because Boston was short of ambulances at the time.

The DA's office summarized a police report:

At about 9:40 p.m. on Sunday Boston police responded to 92 Westview Street to a ShotSpotter notification. Officers found a car with significant front-end damage idling at the intersection of Westview and Ames and a male within suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators collected surveillance video that showed a white SUV slow then stop at a stop sign at the intersections of Westview and Ames. A red SUV followed closely behind and collided with the white SUV. A male with a blue hooded sweatshirt exited the white SUV from the driver’s seat and ran back toward the red SUV. The suspect fired multiple shots at close range at the driver of the red SUV. The suspect then returned to the white SUV and fled.

Based on witness accounts, BPD put out a BOLO for a white Inifiniti with substantial rear-end damage - driven by Hudson. State Troopers, alerted by the bulletin, spotted him and a female companion not long after they showed up in Brockton.

Innocent, etc.

Drives an Infiniti. Checks out.

Financial illiteracy is no joke, friends.

hasn't been produced since 2012, and can be bought for pretty cheap at this point depending on mileage and condition, of course. Not sure where financial literacy comes into play, but, sounds like one of the more sound decisions this guy has made in his life.

Who gets bumped and comes out firing? Like, that just makes no sense. Did he think he'd just get away with that?

Road rage is a hell of a drug. Having had multiple gun involved arrests should mean Mr. Hudson will have a long, long time to contemplate his very, very bad decision.

Will probably claim self-defense, say he thought he was being attacked by rivals
