Dorchester man gets 10 to 12 for child rape

A Suffolk Superior Court judge this week sentenced Edgard Andre, 61, to 10 to 12 years in state prison after a jury convicted him of raping a girl from the time she was 8 until she was 12 in the 1990s, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Based on information provided years later to investigators by the victim, the case was revived and Andre was charged in 2016. The jury convicted Andre based entirely upon the victim’s testimony.

Only ten years for repeatedly raping a child over four years?? WTF!!
I'm not sure what's more sickening here, the weak sentence or the mother of the victim that knew what was happening but did not want to report it because she needed his financial support.
There really needs to be a special place in hell for those that hurt children.
