Woman charged with ramming boyfriend with car and then stabbing him for stepping out on her, DA says

A Mattapan woman was ordered held when she couldn't come up with $5,000 for bail on her arraignment Tuesday on charges she first rammed her allegedly errant boyfriend with her car, then got out and stabbed him with a pink folding knife, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Lashonda Warner, 27, was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - a car and a knife - and leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury for the incident on Manchester Street in Mattapan around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 23, the DA's office reports.

Police initially responded to a call for a pedestrian hit by a car, but found a 28-year-old man with a stab wound in the stomach instead, the DA's office reports, continuing:

The victim was uncooperative with police. A witness told police that a silver Honda Accord made a three-point turn in the street, struck two vehicles and then struck the victim. Police followed a trail of blood and found a pink folding knife, covered in blood, on the street. Medical responders transported the victim to Boston Medical Center where, as of yesterday, he was in the ICU.

Police broadcast a description of the vehicle. Shortly after, State Police pulled a vehicle matching the description over on I-93N near exit 15B [Andrew Square]. Troopers observed blood on the front grille. The driver, Warner, later admitted to Boston police that she had struck and stabbed the victim because he had informed her he was being unfaithful.

Innocent, etc.

Doesn't sound like an accident. More like leaving the scene of an on-purpose.

But she won't dress in pink and blue...more likely black and white, or solid orange.

I guess the reluctance of anyone to spot her the money counts as her dangerousness hearing.

If she had just run him over and then said something like "he walked out in front of me without looking", she'd be walking free right now.

Hitting the two cars doing the 3 point turn on a residential street was the accident.
