Westborough Police report the driver of an 18-wheeler thought he could fit under a CSX train bridge at Rte. 30 at Willow Street this morning, only to discover he couldn't.

If only the state had some way of letting truckers know in advance what a bridge's clearance is.

oh that underpass has been trouble for a long time. Nice new paint job!

Iirc it's got a bit of floodable dip, so that a long trailer that is nominally shorter than marked height can crunch in the middle when both ends are outside. Which may be what we see here. 12'3" may be the height for a short-base box-van, but a 63' unit  may have a rather lower practical limit.
Which even a trucker's GPS can't take into account unless one dials in a very conservative rig height
