Car chase leaves two cars, cruiser smashed, three men arrested

Boston Police report on a car chase in Dorchester last night that somehow ended without any injuries.

Police say officers in a cruiser noticed a stolen car on Rosseter Street around 6 p.m. and began tailing it as they radioed for backup. The driver saw the cruiser and floored it:

While doing so, the suspect vehicle struck two vehicles on Larchmont Street, as well as crossing the yellow line and striking an oncoming police cruiser. At this point, all three occupants of the stolen vehicle exited and fled on foot. Officers gave chase and set up a perimeter of the general area. After a brief search, all three suspects were apprehended. A loaded .45 Caliber firearm was located within the suspects vehicle.

Dominic Toledo, 18, was arrested on charges of receiving a stolen motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, failure to stop for a police officer, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, assault & battery by means of a dangerous weapon (car), unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and various motor vehicle violations. Michael Miranda and Armando Barros, both 20, were charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, resisting arrest, trespassing, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Innocent, etc.
