Women getting attacked in the North End again

Boston Police report a woman walking on Prince Street at the DiFalippo playground was jumped by a man around 9:30 Friday night but was able to fight him off and escaped with just minor scrapes. He was described as 5'10" with an olive complexion, wearing a black hoodie, dark blue jeans and sneakers. He spoke with an accent.

On April 4, a woman walking near North Bennet Street was also jumped and was also able to fight off her attacker, whom police described as "a 30 year old light skinned Hispanic or Italian male about 5'5" male with an olive complexion with dark sideburns and large brown eyes wearing a light colored jacket, and blue jeans."

Police say they have stepped up patrols in the North End and urge women to avoid walking alone at night through the neighborhood.
