Clerk gunned down in Jamaica Plain convenience store

A man shot in the Tedeschi store, 779 Centre St., this afternoon died not long after being taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Police say they are seeking a white four-door sedan, possibly a Chrysler or Dodge, that was last seen traveling on Centre Street toward the Jamaicaway. Channel 25 reports the victim was a clerk in the store.

Earlier:

The intersection of South and Centre streets is mobbed with police, including a large "crime scene investigation" truck. The area of benches in front of the Tedeschi convenience store, 779 Centre St., which is a popular area for the homeless, is taped off with crime scene tape.

They're also reporting a "department motor vehicle accident" at the intersection of Amory and Centre - an intersection that doesn't exist, though both streets are in Jamaica Plain. It seems plausible that a unit responding to the first was the cause.

He's edited it at least twice so far, this time removing the link to the Twitter post from BPD:

http://twitter.com/Boston_Police/status/7069650241

"PERSON SHOT: 779 Centre St in JP, Homicide Unit requested to scene"

Also: http://wbztv.com/local/jamaica.plain.shooting.2.13...
"The victim was shot at a Tedeschi's on Centre Street just after 4 p.m. Saturday and taken to a local hospital. There's no word yet on the victim's name or condition. "

So exactly what about that is a "misinformation blurb"?

I didn't mean to take out the BPD Twitter link. I did mean to take out the Chinese restaurant reference, because it didn't happen there.

You can get an account for free; that way, we'll know which lame personal attacks are coming from which person, and we can think critically about them instead of just ignoring them outright.

I may disagree with Brett at times, as I disagree with many of the folks here at times, but Brett at least has an account so I can tie the comments to previous ones, etc.

Are you sure that the person who was shot was "hot"? Or have you got a great typo in your caption?

Centre St. and Amory St. used to intersect by Jackson Square, until the 1970's when Centre was shifted to accommodate a reconfigured Orange Line. Now Amory St. dead ends a few hundred feet short of Centre St.
Why would it be, as you say, "plausible that a unit responding to the first was the cause" [of the second], I wonder? Centre/South and Centre/Amory are almost two miles apart.

...it's not an intersection!

Also, it's pretty plausible that when someone in a district is shot, available units in the district race to the scene. And since they might be in a rush, that makes them a little more likely to get into a crash.

Learn to parse English, by the way. "Plausible" is a guarded adjective that was appropriate.

just admit that you're kind of a lousy writer , and you screwed up royally with that sarcastic little response.
