14-year-old shot to death in Dorchester

Boston Police report Nicholas Fomby-Davis, 14, of Dorchester, was shot repeatedly in front of 218 Bowdoin St., around 8 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he died.

A gang-unit police officer who happened to be in the area watched him get shot and began running after two suspects, as he called for backup. Police say both were apprehended and a gun was seized.

Crisostomo Lopes, 20, of Dorchester, was charged with murder. A 16-year-old, not identified because of his age, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

Innocent, etc.

Does anyone have the flier BPD handed out? I don't see it on Boston.com, nor the Herald nor the Dot Reporter.

from the Globe/Boston.com:

Yesterday, Menino said he dispatched a task force of 75 officers to knock on doors in Nicholas’s neighborhood and distribute to residents a flier with photographs, but no names, of 10 males “known to associate with known criminals and gang members.’’ Police said they wanted to personally ask for help in rooting out the troublemakers.
(...)
The Boston Police Department later took the unusual step yesterday of giving the flier with the photographs to the media.

I am so tired of Menino and his bull he said the crime rate is not high, well put him right in the hood, Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattpan, Hyde P, Roslindale etc or better yet lets see what he thinks if one of his relatives were the ones 2 get shot.....smh 1 person being killed means the murder rate is high.... so glad he never got my vote....
