Man shot to death at South End housing project

Boston Police report a man, 35, was murdered around 11:40 p.m. Thursday at 42 Harrison Archway at the Cathedral housing project.

The victim was taken to nearby Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Very convenient to BMC Trauma and the morgue. Why is Cathedral Projects still open for business? I can guarantee you most of the street crime, muggings, etc., in the South End can be traced to Cathedral, Lenox projects, or Pine St.

don't blame cathedral project or any other project . I live at 47 Harrison archway just 2 doors away from where the shooting happened . We should be asking why is it going on at all . not just were,I lived here for 6 yrs and this is the 2nd time something like this happened . It happens just as much anywhere USA, but the whole thing took 1 hr to process and clean up and then the BOSTON POLICE where gone . they didn't even have a detail there for the night. Just another ghetto kid I guess, that's whats wrong a life is a life , he had /has a mother and family who care about him. to me this is not being taking serious because it happened in a project which is another crime in it self. on a normal day hear all you hear is kids yelling and playing with each other . the adults sitting out side talking with one another . Then you walk 1 block up the street to he south end and the people look at you like your from another planet.most of the crimes occur some place else but when it occurs here people blow it up.

i dont know exactly how you meant what u said..."just another ghetto kid i guess" i have an opinion for both possibilities..
1) if u are trying to say when police and the system racial profile someone as a ghetto kid i would have to agree
2) if u are trying to say it happened because he is a ghetto kid and who cares then i would have to strongly disagree...he was an amazing friend, father, and person people should think about what they are saying before they post it online....you have no idea who he is...nor would u appreciate if that was your friend that got killed and you were seeing post refering to him as a ghetto kid...so please clarify your statement

I think everything that your'e saying is very ignorant. My family has lived in Cathedral for over 40 years. Why is it in business? Because people need places to live you stupid cunt. Some individuals cause trouble, but not all. You could have kept your rude comment in your peanut sized brain- to be honest.
