Homestead Street shut as cops surround building in search of shooter

UPDATE: The victim died; the alleged shooter was captured and is due for arraignment in Roxbury District Court.

Police have surrounded a building on Homestead Street between Walnut Avenue and Harold Street this afternoon, where they think somebody responsible for a shooting at Homestead and Walnut might be holed up. The homicide unit was summoned.
