One dead, one critical after separate shootings in Dorchester

Boston Police report a teen, 18, was found with multiple gunshot wounds around 10:47 p.m. yesterday at 19 Groom St. in Dorchester, He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Tbe Dorchester Reporter reports the teen lived next door to Isaura Mendes, a peace activist who has lost two sons of her own to murder.

AlertNewEngland reports a separate shooting around the same time at Devon Street and Columbia Road.

He was a good kid and my cousin! His brother just pass last week and now we are morning two young kids that was at wrong place at wrong time.sure hope you don't ever get in a situation like this.
