By adamg on Tue, 03/29/2011 - 5:40pm
Boston Police tweet the Mt. Washington bank branch at 430 West Broadway was held up this afternoon. A suspect, described as a white guy with a scruffy beard in a gray hoodie, tried getting hailing a cab as a getaway vehicle. Sacco reports a dye pack in his loot exploded in the back seat; he then tried to run away but was captured by police two blocks down West Broadway.

I'm impressed he managed to
I'm impressed he managed to find a cab on Broadway in the middle of the day!
Think of the cab driver
I feel bad for the poor cab driver. The police take his cab out of service while they do their investigation, so he's not making any money for a few hours. Plus he's got to pay for the clean up of the dye pack residue. And I bet the robber didn't didn't pay his fare, either -- or leave a tip, for that matter.
