Police investigate armed home invasion, beating and attempted rape in East Boston

Boston Police report officers responding to a report of a screaming woman around 11 p.m. on Coleridge Road found two women who said a gun-wielding man broke into their home, demanded money, tried to rape them and beat one of them with his gun before one of the two managed to escape and run for help.

The suspect, who fled after the woman escaped, is described as white, about 6' tall, 180 lbs and appeared to be in his late 20s to mid 30s. He was clean shaven and wore a black knit hat, a gray T shirt and dark shorts.
