Jamaica Plain News reports on an incident Saturday morning on Tower Street - involving a gun-wielding purse snatcher who escaped in a late-model BMW.

I know people (not friends, just people I know) who did the whole "jump out of a car, mug someone, then jump back in the car and drive away" thing back in the day. Here's the thing that jumps out for me. This happened on a dead end street. Either too much effort was taken before or somehow the perp backed out afterwards. This has to have been a targeted thing as opposed to an opportunity thing. Also, of course, the car, but I will give that as the car was possibly stolen or gotten in better times.

In any event, this is a bad thing, and I hope the victim is at least physically better, with the hope that the mind can recover from this.
