Gunfire erupts in Uphams Corner

Shortly before midnight along Groom Street near Humphreys. At least two cars hit, at least one bullet wound up in the second floor of a house at the other end of Groom.

One nearby resident reports hearing 10 shots.

Not long after, a man showed up at Boston Medical Center with a gunshot wound - after getting out of a car with its back window shot out. Police are still investigating whether the man, who is expected to survive, was shot there or elsewhere.
