Boston Police report that around 11 p.m. on Sunday, a woman was robbed and then sexually attacked at knifepoint at Dorchester Avenue and Harbor View Street in Dorchester.
The suspect is described as black, in his 20s with a medium build, short black curly hair, and a small amount of facial hair. He was wearing dark clothing and may have fled on foot in the direction of Sydney Street.
The attack came as police continue to search for a man who has been indecently assaulting women in the area of Edward Everett Square. That suspect, however, is described as a light-skinned Hispanic man.

Awful. I live one street over and walked past this intersection about an hour earlier. I often walk in this Harborview/Newport/Spring Garden/Sudan Street area at late hours, and don't think twice about it.
same here!

It's such busy area there - so many bars, businesses, people walking to/from the T! I was right around there last night - walking around and watching the moon.
I hope she's ok!
Horrible

I feel for this woman, and every other one who is assaulted in this horrible way. When will we as a society get serious about stopping rape?

Is anyone currently not condemning rape? What do you think society should do differently?

Sexual assault and rape are not legally coincident. Is the latter term coming from another source? I don't see it in the linked report.
