Criminal pro tip: If you've nicked yourself shaving, you might want to put off that bank robbery you'd been planning

Boston Police report a man who robbed the Citizens Bank branch at 441 W. Broadway yesterday afternoon tried to hide his face by pulling his sweater over it. But he did that in the bank, and after a teller had noticed the Band-Aid on his face.

Not long after, an officer on patrol noticed a guy with a Band-Aid on his face walking into the Burger King at W. Broadway and D:

Officers entered the Burger King and were immediately directed to the bathroom. The officers opened the restroom door and found the suspect sitting on the toilet. A pat frisk of the suspect revealed a large bulge in his left pocket, which officers soon discovered was a large sum of US currency, upwards of $3,500.

Robert W. Wixon, 53, was charged with armed robbery - because before he demanded money, he motioned as if he had a gun in his pocket, police say.

Innocent, etc.

I used to work on bank cameras and would respond to robberies to assist the PD and FBI with the camera systems.

I remember pulling up video of a robber with a cast on his arm and a cop telling me it wasn't real because "pros" wear something eye-catching like that and ditch it as soon as they flee. Then all the descriptions from witnesses are fixated on the cast.
