Quincy man dies while trying to break up fight in front of Dorchester tavern

WBZ reports the death of Brian Hingston early Sunday outside the Eire Pub on Adams Street.

Friends have set up an online funding page to help his family.

Maybe it's more common than I think but I remember a few years back a guy died in exactly the same way at the Corrib in West Roxbury. Tried to break out a fight, fell, hit his head on the curb and died. It seems weirdly parallel.

A 19 yo was kill more than 10 years ago down the street when he step in to intervene in some sort of child custody issue.

People get hit in the head, or fall and hit their head, often think everything is OK, fall asleep, and don't wake up. Very common.

Sad thing is if there is someone held responsible they will probably be charged at most with manslaughter, which has a max of I think 3(5?) years, minus early parole.

this goes double if its a romantically involved couple.
