Man shot in South Boston

Police found the man shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Sterling Square, although he may have been shot nearby off O'Callaghan Way.

Heard 1 single shot too loud for a firework was about five minutes before cops came non life threatning injuries though seen ambulance from window.sat there for 5 min thats how i knew..quiet night though nobody outside really.. Weard...

Just because this area isn't "gentrified" or chock full of well to do young professionals (yet), you don't consider it "real" South Boston. Let's make sure to notify the post office so they can update the zip codes and maps, since clearly you are all knowing when it comes to neighborhood distinctions.

I grew up in that project in the 1990s dodging white townies (like young Mark Wahlberg at his nastiest). It's definitely part of South Boston, zip code and all.

In fact, and of course, it's South Boston, but apparently not all residents think the same way.
Bostonography has been tracking this for a while, and some of the results are wacky.
For example, an area in Dorchester, just south of Fields Corner, is regarded as Dorchester by less than 100% of the respondents. There's plenty of other examples

I would love to see the 8 blocks for development planned for Andrew happen sooner rather than later. It will really improve this area.
