Packs of men with knives
Read the last line in the Reddit report, what was going on last night that led to several people getting stabbed?
Going to go out on a limb and
Going to go out on a limb and saying young men drinking until 2am are what caused this.
Really?
Gotta be a reason, no? It's not like every time young men drink until 2am there's a stabbing.
Frequent violence in this area at closing time
Not sure if there is some underlying tensions or just a result of the crowd demographic but there is certainly more stabbings and shootings here then in spots like Faneuil Hall.
I work in that square
And it's 100% "crowd demographic" The clubs in the area do a shit job, if I can be so frank, of security and pat-downs. I've gone into Royale a multitude of times and I called it quits when some little-black-dress girl called me a faggot and I was the one to be kicked out. There's a blatant drug culture on the block with all clubs: cure, whiskey saigon, guilt...and it has to be damaging to the colleges literally right on top of these places. Not to mention my car was stolen a year and a half ago from the W's valet zone. Did a bpd officer or even a university guard help me? "Oh sorry kid!"
Two stabbings in one night? Various ferocious crimes? Time to clean up, Boston.
Should clubs need pat-downs?
I don't recall ever being patted down on entry to Johnny D's, or the Burren, or the Middle East, or TT the Bear's, or the Lizard Lounge, or Toad, or Atwood's, or Aeronaut, or PA's, or ONCE Lounge, or the Cantab, or the Lily Pad (to name the music clubs I can recall going to in recent months or years)
quick
somebody call the liquor licensing board
Theatre district ruffians
This wouldn't happen at Morrissey night; we carry flowers in our back pockets..
