Man stomped in Dudley Square parking lot; gun later recovered at scene

Boston Police report arresting a Roxbury man they say was busy kicking another man in the head and chest in a Warren Street parking lot when an officer happened on the scene yesterday morning.

Police say two men were attacking the prone victim, but that one managed to run away. Jason White, 31, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) for the 10:40 a.m. incident at the parking lot at 115 Warren St., next to the Roxbury courthouse and the Boys and Girls Club.

Police add:

Approximately one hour later, officers received a second radio call for a found firearm in the same proximity as the above altercation. Officer responded to recover and secure the weapon, and both incidents remain under investigation.
