Boston Police are seeking a man in connection with the robbery of the East Boston Savings Bank branch at 305 Talbot Ave. in Dorchester around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The man is described as Hispanic and in his 20s. He wore a gray Orlando Magic cap with a blue brim, a black hoodie or jacket, black pants, and black, red and white sneakers.

My bank has signage at the door asking that all customers remove their hats and sunglasses on entering. As soon as a teller sees anyone forgetting to do so, they should ask politely but loudly right away "SIR PLEASE REMOVE YOUR HAT THANK YOU". This draws immediate attention to the would-be robber as soon as he steps inside, taking away any element of surprise he might have hoped for.
Tellers are not well-paid (I used to be one ages ago) and it can be a tough job what with the potential risks and all. But I recall angering a stubborn motorcyclist who didn't want to remove his helmet one time. He was actually a regular customer who normally drove a car (and thus didn't wear a helmet). His "c'mon you KNOW who I am" was met with a "sure, NOW we do!" once he finally doffed the headgear.
